New Song: Motionless In White
Words by: Meaghan DeAmico
Motionless in White debuted a new song today called “Loud (Fuck It)” off their upcoming album Graveyard Shift out May 5 via Roadrunner Records. Also shown to us today was the official album artwork for the record, which the band has been hinting at for weeks.
The song is very different from what we’ve heard from this record already but it definitely sounds like Motionless in White. The first lyrics are catchy and this is a song like Eternally Yours or 570 that would seamlessly fit into a live set list along side fan favorites like America.
Chris Motionless has said there is a song on the record about the fans and his experiences/ what impacted him from the TEI Workshops he did all summer on the Vans Warped Tour. He revealed this morning via Twitter that this is in fact the song. Taking that into consideration, the song becomes more of an anthem. I am always intrigued with the way Chris Motionless phrases things in songs and this is no exception. “I’m gonna take a double shot of hate, drink it up like gasoline. Take a page to graduate to live somebody else’s dreams.” This lyric particularly sticks out to me as I am in school trying to fulfill my dreams and to some extent please my parents. There are a lot of lyrics in this song that are very relatable. I cannot wait for Graveyard Shift. Catch Motionless in White on tour this spring with In This Moment!
