Most Anticipated of 2017: Part 1
Our co-founder Kayla Edelmann chose her most anticipated albums of the year! Check it out below, and look forward to further installments from our other contributors!
1. AFI // AFI: The Blood Album (1/20/17)
The release of AFI: The Blood Album marks the tenth studio album for A Fire Inside. AFI has been my absolute favorite band for as long as I can remember and I've been counting down the days waiting for this new album! The band was super creative in the way they went about promoting this! They would post short snippets on their social media platforms, and as release day gets closer they've been playing entire songs on Facebook live and then deleting them shortly after. The four singles they've released have been some of my favorite work of theirs to date. They're such a talented group of individuals - each song feels like they're pulling pieces from former albums to create something cohesive and new.

2. My Enemies & I // TBA
My Enemies & I haven't given any concrete details on the release of their full length yet, but we do know that they finished recording it at the end of 2016. There's just something about this band that makes them so magnetic, they quickly became one of my favorite bands and I'm itching for new music from them! Everything about them amplifies their performance from their on stage aesthetic to their album artwork it all comes together. I was lucky enough to see the guys a few times this year and the new songs they performed were killer. Definitely keeping "their style" and expanding on it for the album.

3. Avi Kaplan // TBA
Avi Kaplan is a member of Pentatonix, the ridiculously talented group that won the third season of the Sing Off. Since then they've been touring, doing TV specials, creating albums, etc. and they've pretty much taken over the internet. - Now, he hasn't confirmed that his solo project will come out this year, but he has been working on it for a little while, and recently posted pictures from the studio on his Instagram! The idea of solo music from Avi has me extremely excited because his voice is so unique, and I can't wait to hear him as a lead vocalist.

4. Thirty Seconds to Mars // TBA
Thirty Seconds to Mars has been teasing their fifth album for what feels like an eternity. They've created the hashtag #MarsIsComing, and they've been sharing snaps from their time in the studio. I'm sure this album is going to be incredible because Mars puts an insane amount of passion in everything they create. Their live shows, merch, online streams, snapchats...everything they do is raw and vulnerable. I feel like they're one of the only really "true" rock bands out there, so their upcoming album is definitely one of my most anticipated for this year.

5. The White Noise // TBA
The White Noise is another band who will be putting out their first full length this year. - Anyone who knows me, knows how excited I am for this, I 100% believe that this band is going to take over the scene. Every time I saw them perform felt new and exciting and they always left it all on the stage. The new track they played this year was always one of my favorites of the set. The White Noise melds together influences from a few different genres and they absolutely kill it. I'm hoping that this new album gets them the recognition they do very deserve.
